This morning wen I was driving my mom to the train station, I hear on the radio this story of a guy named Zhou in China who jumped off a boat in order to escape his wife’s nagging.
Apparently, the boat was going down one of the world’s longest rivers, Yangtze River in China. His wife began nagging him before he got on the boat and somewhere in between, he just couldn’t take it anymore, ran out from his cabin covering his ears, shouting “I can’t take it anymore!”. When his beast of a wife came after him nagging still, he shouted “I need a break!” and jumped into the water. Everyone thought he was dead for sure and could not find his body. Later, he came ashore after swimming about a mile and said it was “like dying”. He said it was still better than listening to his wife nag.
Now, I’m a girl (I know, it’s hard to believe) but I cannot understand the constant nagging 99.9% of women exhibit… My mom does the same and it is just UNBEARABLE. Sometimes I watch TV about husbands killing their wives and I think to myself “well… maybe she had it coming.” I know I wouldn’t have the means to control my agitation like Zhou jumping off a boat; I’d probably have beaten that wife till she was barely alive then torture her until I feel like she has felt the pain I have suffer all those years.
There’s a big different between the cute, caring nagging that occurs once in a while (like those unrealistic moe girls: “you should eat more neatly… *licks up food item*”) but I mean if the wife is CONSTANTLY ENDLESSLY NAGGING YOU DOWN INTO BLOODY HELL… it’s like… go ahead, here’s a knife.
Of course, I know that when people nag it’s because they care. But after a while it’s almost like ranting… Just because you say it more, doesn’t mean it’s going to change the situation. If the husband finally corrects that certain behavior only due to nagging, it is not a win for anyone. The wife is upset that she has to nag him every time to do anything, and he will get nagged.
I donno any guys who nags other than a couple of gay guys. Do guys nag? Are you a victim of nagging? Do you ever feel the murderous rage I feel at times when nagged to your limits?
I feel sorry for that man. On my case, yeah my mom do nag but sometimes its unbearable if she went overboard cause she always care about me ^^;; how am I gonna say this… momma’s boy XD
My mom nags me everyday when I lived with them and I don’t think she realise nothing gets done at all when she does :P so the cycle continues…. in the end I kinda just treat it like wind going past the ear :x There was a time when I told her when she nags she ages and she stops LOL!
I sometimes wonder why mothers and wives nag, it almost seems as if they feel that the person they’re talking to won’t understand unless they are told 300 times in a row. I absolutely hate it and I’m determined, the day I get married or become a mother, I’m going to go out of my way to avoid nagging at all costs. And the most aggrivating thing is this, no matter how many times you tell someone that their incessant nagging is getting on your nerves, they still do it :/.
I only can think about nagging when are young couples or inexperienced ones, but thats not always the case.
Hm. I know what you mean, as I get told almost everyday that I spend to much time in front of the computer, that I don´t do anything, I only play videogames, I sleep to much etc etc.
Been going on my whole life. And while I´ve been irritated and thought about many things to have this end, killing someone is not an answer.
The worst thing though is that I can only walk away, which increases the nagging.
And for some odd reason, this one is male so yes, males are as adept at nagging as females are.
LOL I feel a lot closer to you, I’m a female that agrees with you wholeheartedly. My mom is endless in the nagging department as well, I think it’s a form of entertainment for her. But because of it I try to not nag, although occasionally I catch myself getting pushy. I’m not perfect, but better then a few others at least.
